Weeds and overgrowth in our neighborhood have become an issue. The Board is getting many complaints from residents of home owners that have rock-beds along their homes that are full of weeds. We’ve been working to increase letters for homes that are falling out of compliance. Some residents take care of the issue right away, and others let the issue reoccur shortly after.

In order to fix the issue, and to make it fair to other home owners who take such good care of their homes, the Board has agreed to move quicker on non-compliance.

If your home is having weed issues, you will be given a written warning. You have two weeks to address the situation. If the issues continues, you’ll be given a final notice. If the situation is not addressed within the two weeks of the final notice, the Board will have our landscapers take care of the issue at the expense of the owners.

We realize this gives you only a month to address the situation, but the 3 written letters in the past with small fines has not been working well. Before you know it, it’s the end of the season and the issue persists the following year.

We know allot of homeowners take pride in their homes, and it’s our role to keep the neighborhood looking great to maximize homeowners property values. Having weeds in your yards really degrades the quality of our neighborhood.

We also are having issues with folks keeping their plants, trees and shrubs trimmed along common areas. If you have shrubs, plants or trees which touch or go over the common fences, we need you to trim them back. The landscapers are not happy when they are doing their work, and trees or shrubs are in their way. Further, we have seen many sprinkler issues caused by overgrowth from folks homes. The overgrowth is keeping our sprinklers from watering the common area correctly.

Any areas that are not cut or trimmed back by home owners on the common areas before November will have the landscapers take care of the problems early December. This could incur a charge to the home owners, so please take care of these areas before November.
