The board has been evaluating the best path forward for fence repairs. Work that was done to the fence previously years back, did not hold up well. We’ve been working on evaluating the best course of action moving forward as well as figuring out how to pay for it. Replacing the fencing was estimated near $500,000. We are looking at replacing or repairing the fencing in phases.
I’ve had a few fence folks come look at the fencing and we’ve got several opinions. We even had the paint company come out and look at it.
After looking at the fencing on the West side of Carlson Farm, the wood looks to be in good shape, just the previous work was not done well. We hired a company to power wash and strip a test section of the fence, to see how it would look after the process was completed.
We are very pleased with the results and it looks brand new. We will be working to complete the west side fence by the end of this year. Further, we may continue to do similar work in other areas, should we determine this process will work. If not, we will look at replacing sections of the fence in phases.
